It will be out of action from September having originally been due to close in March.
Elmbridge Borough Council says the pool’s modernisation is due to be completed by February, with costs rising from £1.3m to £1.45m.
Hurst Pool sees 157,000 visits each year, according to the council, and is operated by Places Leisure.
