Officers attended the site after it arrived on Friday and are monitoring the situation with Runnymede Borough Council, which owns the land.
Further visits will be made to assess the situation and decide on the next steps.
While the council is responsible for dealing with the encampment, police urge people to report any significant anti-social behaviour.
