Vasha Kaur, Upper GI Surgeon and Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) Surgical Tutor at Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust, has been awarded the British Asian Women’s Award for Achievements in Education.
The British Asian Women Awards recognise the achievements, influence and contributions of the UK’s most inspiring Asian women. Vasha was one of nine finalists in the Achievements in Education category and was presented with the award at a ceremony in Wolverhampton.
The award recognises Vasha’s commitment to promoting education through her role as Surgical Tutor, where she supports the training and development of resident doctors, and her work with secondary school pupils to increase exposure to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and medicine.
