The airport has been upgraded from “needs improvement” to “good” by the UK Civil Aviation Authority.
The report found demand for airport assistance services has reached record levels, with 5.9 million passengers using support last year.
Gatwick and Luton have been rated “very good”, while Heathrow was among nine UK airports rated “good”.
