A community group wants to explore the possibility of using autonomous pods to move people over the Hammersmith Bridge.

The grade II listed structure has been closed to vehicular traffic since 2019.

Barnes and Hammersmith Electric Light Transit says the pods would fill a gap in public transport options.

Transport for London says it had no plans to introduce the pods on the river crossing.
