A planning application is being submitted by Castlemere Developments for the land in Turners Lane this week.
It’s to build 82 properties on the site which is currently occupied by Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare.
The land is classed as “grey belt” which is deemed lower-quality or less environmentally valuable.
There is no word on where the “new home” would be located.
Castlemere Director, Duncan Cooke, says “we want to ensure everyone is aware of our best intention to support the kennels.”
Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare has previously told Jackie News it will be fighting any application made.
