You might remember the episode of The Vicar of Dibley where Dawn French’s character invites the village’s pets to Sunday service.
Now, a church in New Malden is doing it for real.
Christ Church is inviting its parishioners to take their pets along to the 9.30 service on Sunday the 19th of July.
All animals are welcome from cats and dogs to guinea pigs and even stick insects.
Christ Church says it’s a chance to have the pets blessed and to give thanks for the comfort they provide.
