The Prime Minister has issued a formal apology in the Commons to unmarried mothers forced to give up their babies for adoption decades ago.
Around 185,000 in England and Wales had their children taken away between 1949 and 1976.
Sir Keir Starmer’s called it a “stain on our history”.
MP for Twickenham, and Lib Dem Educations Spokesperson, Munira Wilson, says the apology has come too late.
