An 89-year-old bakery chain part owned by comedian Romesh Ranganathan has gone into voluntary liquidation.

Coughlans operates shops in areas including Banstead, Thornton Heath and Croydon.

Managing director Sean Coughlan has blamed the closures on the government’s decision to increase national insurance contributions.
