Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a blaze at a detached property in the private Coombe Park estate off Kingston Hill just before 8.30pm.
Part of the lower ground floor was damaged, but there are no reports of any injuries.
The LFB is warning residents to keep mirrors, glass ornaments and other reflective items out of direct sunlight.
