Viewers of BBC Breakfast were shocked when Lupita was seen to be ambushed by a dog during a segment on Wednesday morning.
It is an offence to intentionally or recklessly disturb wild animals and if your dog chases or harms them, you can be held legally liable.
Lupita has been taken in by resident Vivi who has now started a campaign to pay for her medical fees.
