The incident happened around 1am yesterday on Vale Road outside the Willow Tree Pub, where a man was allegedly punched in the face.
Officers are looking to trace a white man in his mid-20s, around 6ft 2in, with dark hair and a beard, who was seen in the area at the time.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact police on 101.
