Croydon Council has approved new temporary accommodation charges to help manage rising costs and demand.

The changes apply to sites including Concord, Sycamore and Windsor House, bringing charges in line with housing benefit rules.

The council says most households will not be affected, as increases are covered by housing benefit for the majority.

Officials say the changes will raise around £1.4m a year to help keep the service running for residents in need.
