Bike and moped thefts remain a problem in Epsom and Ewell, with police saying thieves are often working in pairs.

Officers have also told us some stolen bikes are being used in further crimes, and they are increasing patrols in hotspot areas.

An order has been imposed which bans face coverings like balaclavas when used for crime, with fines or prosecution possible.

Residents are urged to report suspicious activity and protect bikes by locking, chaining and covering them.
