They’ll be installed in Milne Park, Courtwood Playground, Mayfield Road and Rickman Hill.
They are part of a plan to build 16 new playgrounds across the borough by 2030.
The sites were chosen based on the condition of existing equipment and needs in the area.
The work will be funded by developer contributions and government money, with building due to start in the autumn.
