
Fred Mendonca, who’s 62, was treated at St George’s and St Helier hospitals after a 2024 heart attack and says it gave him a “new lease of life”.
He and his daughter Sarah Beard, an NHS occupational therapist in Epsom, took on the 125ft challenge to support patient care.
The charity event has raised more than £20,000 so far, helping improve services, staff wellbeing and hospital facilities.
