The Teddington Direct River Abstraction scheme would see treated sewage pumped into the river above Teddington Lock.

It would come through an underground pipeline from Mogden Sewage Treatment Works.

Thames Water says no untreated sewage will be pumped into the river.

But it says the TDRA project will provide up to 75 million litres of water a day during droughts and dry weather.

The new consultation concerns Burnell Avenue, which would see an increase in HGVs during construction.

But the number of HGV movements at the Tudor Drive worksite would be reduced.

All HGV movements from the Ham Playing Fields nature spot worksite would be removed completely.

There is renewed pressure on the scheme at the moment because the river at Ham has just been designated an official bathing spot.

A meeting on the changes will also take place at St. Andrew’s Church Hall in Ham between 2 and 8pm today.
