Twenty firefighters were called to the grass fire at 4.45pm yesterday afternoon.
Crews used water backpacks and beaters to bring the blaze under control.
A specialist Terrain Support Vehicle carrying around 475 litres of water was also deployed to help tackle the flames.
There are no reports of any injuries.
