A duck has had to be put down after its beak was smashed in a catapult attack in Hertfordshire.

The Swan Sanctuary in Shepperton has taken in another bird injured in the same incident in Cheshunt while a third duck is missing.

The charity is appealing for witnesses to the attack to come forward and for people to call 999 if they spot a wildlife crime in action.
