A fundraiser launched to secure money to build a dementia friendly garden at Croydon Hospital has reached the £80,000 mark.

The update has been announced as part of Dementia Action Week.

Someone in the UK develops dementia every three minutes and over 3,500 Croydon residents have a diagnosis.

The Memory Lane Garden is expected to cost £160,000 and will provide a familiar and comforting space for patients.
