The Met Office says temperatures will rise to the mid 20s later this week.
26 Celsius is possible in some areas on Friday.
The hottest UK temperature recorded so far this year was 26.5°C at Kew Gardens on the 8th of April, according to Met Office figures.
Forecasters are warning of changeable, possibly unsettled conditions, over the next couple of days.
