Thieves are targeting newer or more expensive cars like BMWs, Audis, Mercedes and Range Rovers because they’re worth more.
They usually strike at night, quickly removing mirrors from cars parked on driveways, quiet streets or car parks.
Police advise drivers to park in bright areas, use cameras, if possible, fold mirrors in and report any suspicious activity.
