Three veterans will set off on a marathon walk from Surbiton later this month.

The trio from the Royal British Legion will tackle the 26.2 miles in order to raise money for the veteran’s community.

They think the challenge, which also includes a fourth, civilian member, will take them 8 hours to complete.

Chris Nicholls, the chair of the Surbiton branch, explains why the March in May fundraiser is so important.

They’ll start at RBL Surbiton at 7.30am on Saturday, the 23rd of May, and hope to return there 8 hours later.

As of Wednesday morning, the team had raised £485 of their £600 target.
