Reigate and Banstead Borough Council has granted planning permission for an expansion of the Redhill Data Centre campus.

The new development will include four data halls and support a waste heat recovery initiative on site.

We’re told permission was granted for expansion because of “surging” demand for digital infrastructure.

The team behind the project says this is being driven by advancements in AI, cloud computing and hybrid workloads.
