Campaigners are warning that UK laws are failing to protect dolphins, whales and porpoises in the nation’s waters.

The Wildlife Trusts say legal safeguards in many areas are too weak, poorly enforced or fail to keep up with emerging threats.

The Government says it is taking action to protect marine life and claims there are already signs of recovery in seas around the UK.
