The supermarket chain Iceland’s offered a sacked Waitrose worker a job.

54 year old Walker Smith had been with the Clapham Junction branch for 17 years.

He claims he was let go, for tackling an Easter Egg thief.

But the firm claims he’d broken rules designed to protect staff from a ‘serious danger to life’ following a confrontation.
