Preston North End have condemned racist abuse directed at defender Thierry Small on social media after he scored an own goal against QPR yesterday.

They’ve called the comments “deplorable” and “frankly disgusting”.

The club is working with police on the matter and promises lifetime bans for anyone found to be responsible.
