A new charity dedicated to preserving the traditional red telephone box is to launch in Richmond this summer.

Box Walks buys and leases the iconic booths with the aim of restoring them to their former glory and then repurposing them.

The charity has launched a free app where people can compete against each other to visit as many as possible.

It also includes games and a history of the area.

Box Walks will launch in Richmond on June the 13th.
