Simon Dudley referred to the disaster as a “tragedy” but added that “everyone dies in the end” in an interview with Inside Housing on Wednesday.
He’d been referring to changes introduced following the fire as examples of regulation which is not working.
Mr Farage said the remarks were “rather shocking”.
The tower block fire in North Kensington killed 72 people and displaced dozens of others in 2017.
