A collection of personal items belonging to Sir Barnes Wallis have been sold at auction.

The inventor, who lived in Leatherhead, created the bouncing bomb.

The items sold included marbles used in early experiments which did not meet the reserved price of between £20 to £30,000.

A pair of black and white aerial photographs linked to the 1943 “Dam Busters” raid sold for £17,500.
