As Surrey prepares to head to the polls at the Local Elections on May the 7th, voters are being reminded of one big change.

Because of Devolution, which is taking place in April next year, people will not see their normal constituency on their ballot paper.

Surrey’s 11 district and borough councils are to be abolished.

Instead, residents are voting for councillors who will eventually represent either West Surrey or East Surrey Unitary Authority.
