Archive footage of a young David Attenborough’s first encounter with mountain gorillas is seen in a first-look trailer of his new film.

In it, the naturalist, who lives in Richmond, describes how many view the meeting, in 1978, as the ‘most important sequence’ of his career.

He revisits baby Pablo’s descendants in the Rwanda mountains in A Gorilla Story, out on Netflix next month.
