The incident happened along the High Street on Thursday at around 6:30pm.
A woman was approached by a man who grabbed her dog and assaulted her, leaving her unconscious and in need of hospital treatment.
Police have released an image of a motorcyclist they want to speak to in connection, anyone with information on the attack is urged to contact police on 101.
