Volunteer ambulance staff are going to be used to respond to a wider range of incidents across Surrey.

SECAmb, which also covers Kent, Hampshire and Sussex, says they play a vital role in helping save lives.

As part of the plans, volunteers will be dispatched to situations including non-injury falls.

The service says they will help provide additional support within communities while easing pressure on ambulance resources.
