Work to build another 34 new council homes in a part of Sutton has got underway.

Diggers have moved into the former timber yard in Westmead Road in Carshalton.

All of the new homes will be for social rent and available to people already on the housing waiting list.

Sutton Council agreed to purchase the land in September from its previous owners in order to build the properties.
