Opponents cited poor design, unacceptable density, lack of infrastructure and amenities for their reasons against it.

The committee refused the scheme primarily due to its impact on the nearby Metropolitan Open Land (MOL), as well as concerns around the height, massing and the effect the development would have on the character of the area.
