Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton says he’s aiming to finish the season on a high – with silverware for his club and a place in England’s World Cup squad.

The midfielder is set to start as Palace host AEK Larnaca in the first leg of their Conference League last-16 tie tomorrow.

Wharton says playing for the Three Lions this summer is in his thoughts, but only in the background.
