Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a woman in Hounslow.

The 71‑year‑old was found seriously injured inside a property in bath Road just after 10am on Sunday and died at the scene.

No arrests have been made.

Councillor Shantanu Rajawat, Leader of Hounslow Council, says:

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic death of a 71 year old woman earlier this week at a residential property on Bath Road, Hounslow. My thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with her family, friends and all those affected by this shocking incident.

“The Metropolitan Police have confirmed a murder investigation is now underway, led by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, and a crime scene remains in place as officers work to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

“I want to reassure our community that the Police are doing everything they can to identify those responsible. Residents will see additional police patrols in the area in the coming days to provide reassurance and support.

“The Police have appealed for anyone who was in the Bath Road area and may have seen or heard anything unusual to come forward, as even the smallest piece of information may prove vital.
