Waitrose has confirmed its bought Hersham Green Shopping Centre in a first for the supermarket giant.

Bosses say it secures the future of the Hersham store and means it will also become the landlord of 16 additional shops on site.

There had been concerns that the shopping centre would be redeveloped.
