The government’s chartering a commercial flight to bring stranded British nationals home from Oman.

It’ll take off from Muscat this evening landing back at Heathrow Airport.

Anyone who’s in the Gulf state, including people who’ve arrived from the United Arab Emirates, will need to contact the Foreign Office about securing a place.

We’re told ministers are working with airlines to set up other routes as the conflict in the Middle East continues.
