A Met Police officer has been dismissed for using excessive force during an arrest outside Charing Cross police station in August 2023.

Peter Odusote of the Central West BCU, which covers Westminster, Chelsea, and Hammersmith, punched a man after he spat at him.

He then failed to report the use of force in his statement.

The officer will now be barred from all police and related roles by the College of Policing.
