The council says it has repaired over 500 so far this year, 77 of them critical, as teams address road damage from severe weather.
Residents are being urged to report defects via the council’s website, ideally with photos, to help prioritise urgent repairs.
Sutton is trialling tougher, eco-friendly materials and also seeking more national funding to address the problem.
