A Met Police officer has been dismissed for making a discriminatory comment while on duty.

Brendan Jones was attached to the West Area Basic Command Unit which covers Hounslow, Hillingdon and Ealing.

He made a discriminatory remark while in the presence of another officer.

A second allegation, that he made a racist comment to his police trainer, was found not proven.
