The Prime Minister has put children’s safety centre-stage on a visit to Putney this morning.

The Prime Minister says the government will take action to protect children on social media because the “status-quo” is not good enough.

Sir Keir Starmer’s not committed to any policies, but says a consultation on stopping under 16s using platforms is coming soon.

He spent the morning at St Mary’s Church Community Hall alongside Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan, and MP for Putney, Fleur Anderson.
