Spelthorne Borough Council’s leader says she has finally received a reply to her most recent letters to the government department.

But Joanne Sexton she says she’s disappointed with the reply.

She wants the Home Office to rule out the use of HMOs as alternative asylum accommodation.

Houses of Multiple Occupation are properties rented by at least three people who are not from the same household.

But according to Ms Sexton, the Home Office has told her it does not publicly disclose details of properties that may or may not be used.

Radio Jackie’s own attempts to contact the Home Office have gone unanswered.
