The council says it welcomes the principle of regeneration but has concerns because the plans include zero affordable housing.
There’s also limited, well-planned space for shops, restaurants and leisure.

Cllr Shantanu Rajawat, Leader of Hounslow Council, said:
“This is not just another planning application. It’s a decision that will shape Hounslow town centre for decades, and we don’t want to settle for second best. We have a responsibility to make sure any redevelopment genuinely works for residents, businesses and visitors, which is why we urging as many people as possible to share their views as part of the planning process.”
Cllr Tom Bruce, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Assets, Regeneration and Development at Hounslow Council, added:
“The Treaty Centre needs regeneration. Everyone agrees on that. But we don’t think the proposal currently on the table is good enough. Zero affordable homes, very few family-sized properties and not enough space for jobs, shops or leisure is not what Hounslow needs. This proposal risks being a wasted opportunity and not creating the vibrant, diverse and welcoming town centre which brings opportunity to all communities. This is what Hounslow deserves.”
