The Prime Minister’s leadership is being called into question over his appointment of Lord Mandelson as the UK’s ambassador to the US.

Sir Keir Starmer’s facing a backlash from his own senior Labour MPs after admitting he knew about Mandelson’s friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

But he insists he wasn’t aware to what extent and will now publish files on the vetting process.
