The council says they’ll be used to monitor and detect fly-tipping, drug dealing, knife crime, and other offences.

Footage from the CCTV will support the council and police to identify offenders and take action.

The cameras can be moved around based on the needs of the area as well as emerging hotspots across the borough.

Cameras are located in Selhurst, Broad Green, Woodside, Thornton Heath, South Norwood, East Croydon, West Croydon and the Town Centre.

Following reports of ongoing antisocial behaviour, the Council has also put cameras up in housing estates across the borough to protect residents and properties.
