Officers were called to Chertsey Bridge Road at 7.55pm following reports of a collision between a car and a motorbike.

A man in his teens was taken to hospital with life changing injuries and the driver of the car, a 37-year-old man from Fetcham, who failed to stop at the scene was arrested shortly after for causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop at a road traffic collision, driving whilst unfit through drink, driving whilst over the prescribed limit of alcohol and driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition.

He has since been released under investigation.

Police would like to speak with the driver of a dark coloured Renault Clio and a Royal Mail worker who may have witnessed the collision.

Whilst the collision took place on Chertsey Bridge Road, the suspects vehicle stopped by the roundabout junction with Littleton Lane, Shepperton Road and Laleham Road, outside Shepperton Studios shortly after the collision and we are therefore also seeking any witnesses who may have passed the damaged vehicle.

Police are seeking CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident.
