A Shepherds Bush shop selling fake phone covers, counterfeit cigarettes and illegal vapes has been closed by court order.
The three-month closure was approved after Met Police officers from the Shepherds Bush Green safer neighbourhood team made an application to the court.
Westminster magistrates shut the Essentials shop (also known as 24/7 Convenience Store) at 166 Uxbridge Road after raids by Met Police and Hammersmith and Fulham Council’s Trading Standards officers discovered shelves stocked with goods worth thousands of pounds that the shop could not legally sell.
More than 100 bottles of spirits, some from Lidl and M&S, were found at the Shepherds Bush Green shop, which is not licensed to sell alcohol.
